Funding of €3 million announced for 10 organic sector projects!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news — National Organic Training Skillnet (NOTS) has been awarded significant funding by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to launch a brand-new national initiative: The Organic Academy.

As one of just ten projects selected in a competitive process, NOTS will receive €150,000 annually for the next three years to deliver high-impact, business-focused training and development programmes to Ireland’s organic sector.

The Organic Academy is a dedicated upskilling initiative that will provide specialised, business-focused training, technical expertise, and market development support to Ireland’s organic sector. It will upskill farmers, processors, and advisors, enhance value-added production, improve supply chain logistics, and drive market expansion.

The Organic Academy will officially launch in 2025, and we’ll be sharing more updates soon on how to participate in the training opportunities, courses and events that will form part of this exciting programme.

Thank you to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine for this support and to everyone working to build a thriving organic future for Ireland.

Stay tunned with NOTS to be the first to hear about new opportunities under the Organic Academy.
