Learn what’s involved in converting to organic farming with our 2-weekend course in Organic Farming Principles. Taught by Klaus Laitenberger, this practical organic course is QQI Level 5 certified, and is accepted to gain access onto the Organic Farming Scheme.
The course will run in Mayo Abbey Training Centre, Freeheen, Co. Mayo across two consecutive weekends, Friday/ Saturday October 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th.
Please note – this is one of the last chances for participants who entered organics in 2023-2024 to get their Certificate. Participants MUST be signed up to the course before the DAFM deadline of October 1st. Places are limited, so sign up ASAP to confirm your place.
Course Cost: €200 when you sign up through NOTS

Weekend 1:
- Friday October 18th (Classroom Session 5.00pm – 9:30pm)
- Saturday October 19th (Classroom Sessions + Organic Farm Visit 9.00am —4.00pm)
Weekend 2:
- Friday October 25th (Classroom Session 5.00pm – 9:30pm)
- Saturday October 26th (Classroom Sessions + Organic Farm Visit + Examination – 9.00am —4.00pm)
