Certificate in Organic & Biological Agriculture – Register Interest
NOTS are delighted to confirm that 2025 will see the first intake for the new part-time “Certificate in Organic and Biological Agriculture” leading to the award of a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture and Level 6 Special Purpose Award in Farming – more commonly known as the “Green Cert”.
Following huge demand for an organic version of the Green Cert, NOTS have engaged with multiple stakeholders and created a brand new programme which will satisfy all of the current regulatory aspects of the conventional Green Cert.
The target learner group is anyone who is interested in obtaining the ‘Green Cert’. The specific cohort that this programme will appeal to are those with an interest in organic and biological farming, young farmers hoping to progress into organic and biological farming, and farmers where succession is onto an organic farm. Entry is open to residents in Ireland aged 18 and over.
The programme (Level 5 and 6 combined) will last for 18 months (elapsed), and will be an in-person programme. Please note that the course will run subject to QQI validation.
