Join organic market garden expert Jim Cronin for a series of in-depth, 1-day courses on individual crop families. Day 5 will be on the umbelliferae family (carrots and parsnips) on Jim’s Farm in Co Clare on May 28th, 2025.

This year, we are hosting a number of specific crop days – each day is dedicated to a specific family. Day 5 is on the umbelliferae family. It is possible to come for a single day depending on your preference as we will go from seed to harvest for each crop family.

Germination and weed control of this family can be a challenge. The key to success is understanding weeds and reading soil temperature. Course topics will include:
