Join organic market garden expert Jim Cronin for a series of in-depth, 1-day courses on individual crop families. Day 3 will be on brassicas (kale, cabbage, swede, sprouts & cauliflower) on Jim’s Farm in Co Clare on April 16th, 2025.

This year, we are hosting a number of specific crop days – each day is dedicated to a specific family. Day 3 is on the brassica family. It is possible to come for a single day depending on your preference as we will go from seed to harvest for each crop family.

Brassicas (kale, cabbage, swedes, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, romanesco) are such a central part of any garden. Due to the fact that they are in the ground for a lengthy period of time, we need to look at the following:

• Weed control
• Pests & diseases
• Ease of management
• Sowing techniques
• Soil health & fertility
• Extending the season
• Turning those crops into €€€
