NOTS are delighted to be partnering with The Happy Pear to bring Dan Kittredge, founder of the Bionutrient Food Association, to Ireland for Part 2 of Dan’s masterclass on the Principles of Biological Systems to Grow Nutrient-Dense Food.
If you didn’t make Part 1 – that’s ok – audio recordings will be made available for all participants which covered aspects for the Autumn/Winter season.
The course is suitable for home growers right through to commercial farmers and growers, we will discuss how biological agriculture systems work, and then dig into practical, simple and inexpensive techniques to help improve the overall function of your farm.
The course will run on The Happy Pear Farm, Kilcoole, Co Wicklow , across the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March.

- The importance of seed quality and how to improve it.
- The critical role of the bottom of the food chain, i.e the microbial community
- Plant “early childhood development” and the life cycle patterns
- Why and how we don’t need pesticides to manage pests.
- Soil testing mineral and mineral balancing.
- The importance of inoculation of your seeds and how to do it.
- Conductivity and Brix for in-season monitoring and management.
- The BFA history, our vision for the future and strategy, including the science and meter development.
