Earn a Higher Certificate in Science in Professional Horticulture Practice (NFQ Level 6) with TU Dublin – featuring reduced course fees from National Organic Training Skillnet.
This 2 year, part time course is delivered via a blended hybrid of online / distance learning classes and on-site learning on the TU Dublin Blanchardstown Campus.
- Online Lectures (synchronous/live and also recorded & available after lecture session): Tuesday & Thursday 6pm-9pm
- Classes on site every 2nd Saturday, 9am-4pm
- 1 week per Summer (in June) 9am-5pm
The purpose of the Higher Certificate Award in Horticulture is to equip students with the skills and knowledge to embark upon a rewarding career in the Horticulture industry and in the wider Horticulture sector.
This programme aims to provide a combination of skills and knowledge, and in doing so to put it certificate holders in an ideal position to operate effectively within the sector.

The full cost of the course is €2,625 per year. However, with NOTS funding, members will only pay the reduced fee of €1,970 payable directly to NOTS. Places and NOTS funding are limited, and enrolment is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis – so we encourage you to register your interest as soon as you can.
