Employment Activation Programme The Business of Food

National Organic Training Skillnet has received funding from Skillnet Ireland for training courses through the Employment Activation Programme (EAP) initiative in 2018. The EAP is a 100% government funded initiative aimed solely at training unemployed people. It provides skills which are in demand by industry, combined with direct access to employers through securing a work placement.

DURATION :   15 DAY COURSE

FORMAT:         10 DAYS IN WORKSHOPS: 5 DAYS RESEARCH, OFF SITE ASSIGNMENTS

VENUE:             TBC

Feb: 4th, 11th,18th, 19th, 26th, 27th

Mar: 11th, 12th , 21st

TIME:                9.00am – 5.00pm daily

 

COURSE CONTENT

An essential course for anyone looking to start up their own food service business, cafe, restaurant, pub food, coffee shop.

Over the course of 10 days you will be equipped with the knowledge to start your own business. The course content includes Concept Development,  Menu Planning, Location Feasibility, Kitchen and Stock Management, Sourcing Suppliers and Staff, Legal Obligations and Financial Planning to name a few.
