Dry Stone Farm Wall Workshop – Sligo (May)

1-Day practical course in conjunction with the Dry Stone Wall Association of Ireland (DSWAI). Learn how to build, maintain, and repair dry stone walls.

Level: Beginner/Intermediate (all welcome)

Duration: 1 day

Time: 9.15am to 5pm

Cost: €75 (Full cost = €97 less 25% Skillnet funding if eligible which leaves the cost at €75pp payable directly to NOTS)

NOTS provide 25% funding for this course for employees or self-employed participants residing in Republic of Ireland.

  • Learn the basic skills of dry stone walling.
  • Promoting an awareness of the craft of dry stone building in Ireland.
  • Hands on training oh how to maintain and repair your walls.
  • The benefits of walls on the farm.
  • Information on grants for walls.
  • Dry stonewall built on a radius free Hand.  

Included: Lunch, teas/coffees, and 1 year free membership of DSWAI (see benefits of DSWAI membership below)

NOTE: Bring sturdy, safe shoes and outdoor clothing to protect you from rain and cold.  Safety gloves will be provided.
